Hint: The stripey thing? Is a dog bed. The beagle apparently swiped the mayo off the counter top while I was distracted with the baby. (Lest you judge my taste in mayo, Yan bought it. I'm more of a Kraft Light kind of a girl.)

Things I also never thought I'd do before becoming a parent:

• Letting the dogs "clean up" after the baby when she spits up (OK, in my defense, the first time it happened I sternly told them "No!" and went to get a paper towel but by the time I was back ... yeah. So now I'm all, "Have at it")

Ellie is getting so big! and so much hair! That picture is adorable! I think you are right about the bonding of dogs and babies once the baby is eating in a high chair...nothing says love like cast off food.
